I RECENTLY REPAIRED A BLOWN HEAD GASKET AND CAR RAN SMOOTH, IDLED SMOOTH THEN SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC IT WOULD MISFIRE AND STUDDER AT FIRST ACCELERATION NOT TO MUCH AT FIRST BUT GROWING MORE FREQUENT. STILL IDLES GREAT AND ON THE HIGHWAY IT CRUSES BUT NOW IT IS STUDDERING AND THE SERVICE LIGHT JUST STARTED BLINKING AND I HEARD A FAINT BEEP COME FROM THE DASH. I DONT KNOW IF THE COMPUTER NEEDS TO RESET OR IF EMMISSIONS THE PROBLEM. IM TRYING TO DRIVE TO TEXAS AND I HAVE LITTLE MONEY AND NO CLUE WHATS GOING ON WITH THE CAR. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Hi there,

You will need to get a scan done to read the set fault codes indicated by the engine check light, do this and post the codes if you need more assistance.
