1996 Mercury Sable Seat belt chimes

I have a 1996 Sable SW that has seat bell chime problem. After engines start with seat belts fastened in 2-5 minutes the seat belt chimes come on for 5 sequences of 5 rings. This happens with car stationary or moving and with a passenger in the front seat with seat belt connected or travelling alone. The seat belt light on the instrument panel is off through all these procedures. I would apprecite any info and help to fix this. If no fix available, How can I disconnect the seat belt chime. I'm not sure if this is a fix, but try spraying the front left door latch with a thin lubricant and work them by opening and closing the doors. There have been many dome light issues that were resolved by this, and it may or may not help. The chime module may think the door is open.
