1996 Mercury Sable Lights stay on

My headlights will not go off. I turned the auto dimmer switch off, and when I did that, the high beam light remains lit and the headlights on. I started and restarted the car with the same results. Help?

So this vehicle has delayed off on thelights. Doe sit have DRL's? (Daytime running lights)? I need to know to look up the proper wiring diagram. Also is your Sable a G, GS, LS?

Yes it has daytime running lights, and it is an LS

Start by swapping the headlight relay in the underhood fuse/relay center with another realy to see if it is sticking
