1995 Mercury Sable Ignition will turn backwards but not shu

The ignition will turn all the way back with out turning any of the ass/engine off. Also will leave the starter ingaged when it is restarted.

There is an ignition switch under the dash mounted on top of the steering column. Sounds like yours is falling apart.Once you get to it and remove it, be sure the rod up to the key tumbler is moving properly as well
