1993 Mercury Sable Automatic

Those little lights on the key slots are on. I can't get them off. My car says there are no doors ajar on panel.

Also I cannot take the battery cable off since my tools have been stolen.

So what's causing this so I can know why my car is dead tomorrow morning.

This is probably your illuminated entry. Wait about 30 seconds and the lights should go off automatically. If not, you can disconnect the illuminated entry module to turn the lights off.
