All of a sudden my battery light went on plus I lost my power steering and a mile later the temp light when on with the engine started overheating. Plus I noticed there was no heat coming out. I did make it home. can you guys tell me what might be going on?

Sounds like your drive belt came off. look at all the pullies and wiggle them for play. move the tensioner and see if it has spring action or not.
