2006 Other Mercury Models cruise control

On a 2006 mecury monterey. When i turn on cruise control and press the set button the speed control light on the dash blinks on the off and the speed control wont set.

the dealer will have to check the speed control switch and the speed deativator switch but it should be covered under warranty
