Engine Mechanical problem

this boat engine,its been repair twice,and on both repair spun rod's 1st time and main 2nd time,both repair the crank has been replace,boat ran fine for about 17 hrs,for us we think engine its been run lean.hope we can find an answer thanks:

Hi there,

I would be checking the oil galleries for a blockage checking hot oil pressure as well as the failure of the bearings will be due to lack of lubrication rather than a lean mixture, What fuel are you using if a blended racing mixture then i would also be checking the fuel system as this will cause over heating issues and in extremes may affect bearings if the oil system is not running a cooler and the oil temp is running to high.
