how do i unplug the starter i can not get the wires off or the start uninstalled

the starter is dead im trying to uninstall it but cant get the plugs off i am totally stumped i have it unbolted and everything i just cant get the plugs off

Are you talking about this plug you probably have to press on the side -see below
