I drove over a metal object and immediatly my message centre indicated that there was a fault with the tyre pressure sensor. What should I do?

First make sure there is no problem with the tires. If they are ok and the pressure in them is fine, take the car to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan the computer for codes and reset the light. The sensor may have been tricked into thinking there was too much pressure in the tire when you hit the object. Also, I believe in the owner's manual it explains how to reset that light.
