Transmission problem
2004 Mercury Mountaineer 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

The wrench light came on the dash and the transmission started to shift quick and hard.

Its been a while since oil was changed
check fluids and if all OK you can reset the maintenance light


Press and release SETUP button until the message center displays PRESS RESET AT OIL CHANGE.
Press and release the REST button until the message center displays HOLD RESET TO CONFIRM.
Press and hold RESET button for 2 seconds and release to reset the oil life to 100%.
Press the SETUP to exit the procedure and continue with the system check.
