2003 Mercury Mountaineer Door Ajar Message

Door Ajar message appears even when all of the doors are closed. The problem is that this causes the interior lights to come on and stay on utntil the message clears. I have to turn off the interior lights and ignore the message,

One or more of your door ajar switches (located in each door latch as well as rear hatch) is sticking. Try lubricating each door latch with WD-40.
