2002 Mercury Mountaineer creeking noises

Hi. My mountaineer has started making noises that I "think" are coming from the rear. It sounds like I am riding in a stagecoach ! The best description of the noise is a "creek" It is loud. You can also move the car while outside and it will creek. Any ideas? Thanks

Check the shocks mounts and the rear sway bar bushings to make sure they are not dried out and cracking. You could try spraying them with something like WD40 to see if there is a change.
