2000 Mercury Mountaineer lost signal between swithch and co

Took mountaineer to Firestone. My ac will not kick in the compressor. The swith works. The relays test out good. The compressor works if jumped. Firestone could not find out why the compressor will not kick in.

There has to be a break between the wire from the power source and the compressor. Has the wire been checked for continunity?
