2000 Mercury Mountaineer fuel gage

My full gage shows the gas tank on half when the tank if full. Also, my air bag light blinks on and off intermittantly. HELP

the fuel guage is most likely the sending unit inside the tank.. the air bag light could be dangerous it should go to the dealer. good luck billymac
