1999 Mercury Mountaineer ignition missfire

the car seems to run good when cold but when it gets warmed up it starts to missfire. i changed the spark plugs and spark plug wires and it didnt help. i took off one of the spark plug wires on the coil after it was warmed up and it was sparking eratically.
