1998 Mercury Mountaineer V8 All Wheel Drive Automatic

how do you go about taking a camshaft apart, if the sensor is off. my car wont pass inspection until it is fixed. the check engine light is on.

You mean remove from engine? is yes It requires pulling engine according to the people who made it.
