1992 Mercury Mountaineer rattle at idle

i have a 92 mercury mountaineer 4.6. it rattles at an idle thought it was fly wheel but its not. any ideas. thanks

i would check pulleys and possible lack of oil getting to the lifters causing chatter. this is likely to occur at low rpm such as idle as that is when oil pressure is lowest, try some thinner oili and see if problem goes away.
