2006 Mercury Marquis a/c comes out defroster and heater ven

Had the blender (blunder?) changed under warranty last year. Recently stepped on gas hard to pass and a/c began to blow from heater and defroster only. In the old days that would happen when a vacuum line came loose. Any idea?

Same thing as the old days. THe vents are actuated by vacuum. When you hit the gas, the vacuum pressure drops in the engine. If there is a leak, what you described happens. Check under the dash as well as under the hood for leaks.
