2004 Mercury Marquis engine knock

2004 Mercury Marquis Automatic 48,000 miles

My engine knocks even though I have had 2 fillups with 93 octane gas and added ,Marvel, a gasoline addive. I still have the engine knock. Could it be a valve problem?

Is it a knock, tick, or a pinging under accelleration or when the engine is under a load?
