2003 Mercury Marquis Overdrive Problems

When car goes into Overdrive the transmission will have a chattering like slipping as car is getting up to speed. Load seems to make it chatter, has started about 1000 miles ago.

That is really odd for one of these at that mileage. Are you sure the trans is slipping and the noise is coming from it? IS it a ratteling sound? Do you hear it in any other gear?
