2001 Mercury Marquis stalling

My 2001 grand marquis stalls out when idling, but only when it has below 1/4 tank of gas. I have read other posts about people's mercurys stalling out when idling, but they do not mention their cars being low on gas. The advice given to them was to replace the IAC. Would this have anything to do w/ the amount of gas in the car?

Your pump may be weak causing that.

does it only do it when idling at bellow 1/4 tank?
