2001 Mercury Marquis keyless remote

My keyless remote has stopped working.I have checked the battery and it was still good. I have two new remotes that was purchased on ebay and still no luck. What should I check next? Thank you

Cycle ignition from off to run 8 times within 10 seconds, ending on run, not start! Just "on" position. All doors will lock and unlock to confirm program mode, press ANY button on the remote, door locks will cycle to confirm a good programming, if a second transmitter is to be done just hit any button on it now!
When done programming, and you can do 4 transmitters, turn ignition to off, doors will lock and unlock to confirm.

Answer to your PM: The Driver Door module recieves the signal from the remote, if there is no reception, have the computer scanned for any codes, the DDM should set a code!

Most gaarges can scan for "B" codes, this is what should be in memory. Your actron will most likly scan only P codes for emissions.
