code P0430 keeps engine light on all the time. have been told by others it is a bad ox sensor and won't do any harm. Is this true? and what can be done

P0430 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2)

Indicates a faulty oxygen sensor on bank 2 of exhaust. Failing to replace it will result in much lower fuel mileage and eventually it will ruin the catalytic converter, a very expensive component.. I suggest replacing the sensor as it is very simple and cheap.
