We are planning a driving trip to Montana from southern California. The vehicle has 110,000 miles on it and it's the original battery. Should we replace the battery before the trip even though the battery tests good? My wife thinks "yes" but I think "no."

Hello,

Most batteries have a life of 5 -6 years. You would be taking a chance on being left sitting in a parking lot or on the side of the road who knows where and how far from help. I honestly agree with you Wife. Change the Battery.
