Mercury Grand Marquis, 4.6 engine. Car may sit for a day or two before use. Cranks and idles OK. Will skip and hesitate for the first mile or two. Will then run OK for the rest of the day. No engine light comes on. Have replaced spark plugs, spark plug wires and ECT sensor. Still have problem.

Docfixit: I did what you suggested. I sprayed the MAF sensor with the special cleaner and it worked. The car runs better than it has for some time. Thank you very much.
