Transmission problem
1987 Mercury Marquis V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 17500? miles

This car Is a Grand Marquis.
It has a automatic overdrive transmission. It is slipping when in drive but not in reverse.Once it starts going it does better. Is there an adjustment that can be done w/o removing the transmission.

Is the trans fluid clean and full? There really isn't any adjustment.
