a few days ago i was ready to go to work in winter time; as usual i went out to start my car but suddenly it did not started. first thing i thought was that the battery was low. but the lights, wipers and the radio still worked. so i put th jumper cables on and nothing. after 10 minutes i tried and tried but nothing. so i decided to keep it like that may be it was frozen. so hours later i went and the car started i moved it. i thought it will work but not it was the same problem after i turned it off. i took my car to the mechanic but they didnt find anything, " the car needs to do the fault in order to see what it is the problem" they said. so im wondering whats wrong if is not the battery or the alternator. what causes my car not to start??

When you attempt to start, does it crank or is it completely silent, or does it click?
