My battery light was coming on at higher RPM's so my local shop tested the alternator and said it was not pushing enough amp's. so rather than be stranded somewhere I decided to get it replaced. It was an expensive job due to its inconvenient location. Anyways I have had the car back one day now and the lights in the dash (my clock and trip) and the headlights are pulsating (bright then dim, bright then dim). they are pulsating pretty fast. not so much at idle, but more so at higher RPM's. also if I turn the A/C or defrost on it starts pulsating much worse, and at all RPM's, idle or otherwise. What could be the problem?

Have them redo the alternator job, the regulator portion of it or a diode is no good. I have also seen the positive battery cable cause this issue was well.
