It seems that when the A/C is on that the engine does not have smooth acceleration as it did earlier in its life. It still gets good milage but not as much as before. I was told that this engine only has a throtle body injector, but I think it may be a Mazda 2.0 DOHC 122 CID which may have four injectors. On viewing the engine there appears to be 4 small devices connected by a common bracket just in front of throtle body. If that is true, would replacing those with remanufactured units help?

Probably not, your problem is most likley due to a need for cleaning out the fins in the radiator, and the a/c condenser, I use a blow gun with a long shaft...blow in at the radiator from top to bottom, then out at the condenser the same way, it is important to thoughly clean them, this condition can cause the fuel to boil in the fuel rail...
