2000 Mercury Cougar 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Looking for a diagram for replacing the rear drum brake pads. Showing step by step

Removal (Cougar) Raise and support vehicle. Remove brake shoe automatic adjuster. Remove brake drum. Remove brake shoe hold-down springs. Disconnect parking brake cable from secondary brake shoe. Disconnect brake shoes from anchor block. Remove lower return spring. Remove brake shoes from wheel cylinder. Hold wheel cylinder pistons in place with rubber band. Remove upper return spring. Rotate brake shoe adjuster counterclockwise. Remove primary brake shoe. Remove secondary shoe from strut support. Remove parking brake return spring
