The alternator and the batery were changed 5 days ago. The alternator is charging properly and the battery is maintaining proper voltage. But there was an electrical problem which caused the alternator not to charge the batterry, and it was the reason both were replaced. The automotive technician has done some electrical work on the wire plug (which has few color coded wires) connecting to the alternator because he had used an extended piece of wire to make some conection in this area to the alternator from the plug connected to the alternator. Now the problem I am having is that the battery light comes on intermittenly (on and off). What could be the cause of this actual problem? It bothers me.

I'm not sure what wiring he worked on, but it sounds like a bad connection. Also, there is a fuseable link that runs from the alt to the battery. It could be bad. Has he checked that.
