No MIL or DTCs present :-(

Throttle is NOT mechanically sticking. For some strange reason Idle Air Control valve is still being commanded open after I let off the throttle when driving down the road (I disconnected cruise control cable to eliminate it as problem). ODB-II sensor scanning while driving indicates "Calculated Load Value" sticks at around 80% whenever problem occurs. Air box is cracked above filter, but MAF sensor readings appear to be reasonable so I don't think it is significantly damaged by contamination (engine will run poorly if I disconnect MAF sensor).

Update: Problem was Throttle Position Sensor (which had previously been replaced about 8 months ago). TPS at idle is typically at about 18%. Every now and then it would spike down to about zero. This correlated with the "sticking throttle" problem (don't ask me how/why). Anyway, I replace the TPS, and problem is now gone! :-)
