Hi There.

Problem as Follows:

The engine starts fine. I drive down the road, maybe 5 miles, maybe 25 miles and then I have a loss in acceleration which lasts throughout all the gears (automatic) until I turn the ignition off and on again.

there is no particulat time of day this occurs nor temperature that seems to be making this problem occur.

i spoke with a garage and they said the obvious MAS replacament, but also they said it may be the gearbox causing a problem and between £1500 & 3000 to fix?

The computer shows no fault codes

what do you fine people think about this problem. Thanks in advance.

Could be the MAF sensor also might want to check on the throttle position sensor/output shaft sensor-or the transmission itself.

Thanks for Reply.

Do you feel that the automatic gearbox could be at fault?

Could be if the band and clutches/valve body are no good its hard to say the transmission needs to be pressure tested
