Can you purchase a pcm online and then have it reprogramed for your car, the car is only worth about 3k and they want over 750 to fix it, I have to turn my key half way and let the cooling fan shut off before starting the car, the dealership hooked it up to diagnostic for $75 and they said they can not tell anything until the pcm is replaced, they think replacing it will fix my problem, but they would not print me out a copy of the diagnostics that they did

The information I have says it can be programmed out of the vehicle. If you call a parts store or contact an online company, they can verify it before you order it. They will probably want the old one.
