this problem just started. hard starting,but not always. had a tune up w/in past 18 months. car runs great except for hard starting at times. thanks for any help..alex

Hard starting as in excessive cranking, or it sounds like it is having a hard time cranking? Is or has the check engine light ever been on?

Hi JACK, just got in from work.Thanks for your reply!The car does crank a little excessive, but not like its having a hard time. And yes, the check engine was on for a little while, but went out after I replaced a bad battery. The car runs great a lot of power no hesitation, just cranks a little excessive; never did it before. It would start RIGHT UP! NO PROBLEMS. THANK YOU VERY MUCH for your help! ALEX.

When was the last tune up? Fuel filter? Its due. Might also have the fuel pressure checked to be sure it isnt bleeding down due to a weak pump, injector or regulator
