Engine Mechanical problem
1996 Mercury Cougar V8 156000 miles

okay so my car cut off on me while I was driving. When the engine cools it starts right up but when it gets back hot while driving it it cuts of.

Is it over heating!
and if so have to check coolant system
if not suspect sensor and or module
check for spark after it stalls on you and before it cools down

Next step should be to check for codes
i would suspect crank sensor
let me know what you have for codes
