You can order a replacement gear to replace the broken one. The factory ones are very brittle and brake easly if you press the reset button while moving. I recieved my part in 5 days. www.supercoupeperformance.com/partBrowser.aspx?partId=493
One word of caution though. Be carefull pulling off the needle. It bends and breaks easily. Good luck!!
