when i go to press the switch for the antenna to go either up or down it will go up or down a 1/4 of the way and get stuck and the motor will still run but the antenna will not go down any further i would like to know how to access the antenna motor unit so i can observe the problem and possible fix it thank you for your help

you should be able to observe the antenna motor by going inside the trunk and look right where the antenna goes into the panel, if it is not exposed then all you will need to do is gently pull back the carpet that is concealing it.

this is the 5.0 L V8 92 XR7 the antenna is under the wheel well
