1978 Mercury Cougar V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 76k miles

Really wasn't a catagory for this.
The cruise control engages as it should, but slowly increases in speed. It will gain approximately 10mph in traveling 5 miles.

You might want to check the vacuum hose to the actuator could be leaking or the actuator is malfunctioning.
