1990 Mercedes Benz W124 Two Wheel Drive Manual

250 Diesel vehicle. Battery warning light comes up when the engine is started and goes off in the first half mile.This normally happens the first time the car is used in the day. The warning light may come up again for few seconds in the first half mile. Battery is ok. Alternator is Bosch 12V 55A. will repalcing brushes in the alternator cure it ? Please help . Thank you. Hi there,

This is sounding like sticky brushes, but if they are that worn down the alternator should be fully over hauled, just doing the brushes is only part of the job.
