The ARS light sometimes comes on and sometimes doesn't. It has been unusually cold here. What is an ARS light for? How serious a problem might it be?

The ASR stands for Anti Slip Regulation and works in conjuntion with your antilock brakes and traction control system. If this light is coming up I would recommend getting the diagnostic codes read. It may be an intermittent fault that is occuring just enough to kick the light on at times. If you are close to an Autozone you can usually get your codes read for free. Once you get the code, head back to this post and message me the results. We'll tackle it from there. This will save a lot of time and money diagnosing this correctly.
