Is the transmission on a SLK and CLK interchangeable and is this normal? Is there any impact in terms of reduced performance.?

I bought a used car and discovered that the transmission is that of CLK and now I am experiencing gear slippages.

Hi there,

From what i can find out they both use the same transmission W5A580/772.6 I would have the transmission inspected by a trans specialist ASAP as it may be doing further damage while you drive it.
