Engine Performance problem
2005 Mercedes Benz SL600 V12 19570 miles

MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON MY CAR AS I WAS DRIVING IT AND IT DOWNSHIFTED. I NOTICED THE CAR TOLD ME I WAS 65 DAYS OVER MY SERVICE B REQUIRMENT. I KNOW MERCEDES HAVE SOME TYPE OF PROTECTION ON THESE CARS AND I JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE THIS HAPPENED DUE TO ME NEEDING THE SERVICE DONE. OR COULD IT BE SOMETHING DIFFERENT..

This is definately not due to the service counter. People have brought cars to my shop with several hundred days over due on these service counters. I would have the check engine light checked out by a shop definately.
