Hi -

Last week my check engine light came on and car went into limp home mode. Car does not stay in limp home mode (usually after restarting) and the check engine light does not stay on. It does not appear to have any transmission issues, just will not accelerate during limp home mode.

If the vehicle is going into limp home mode then you absolutely need to bring it in. The only time a MB goes into limp home mode is when there is possible damage occuring to either the engine and transmission. By going into limp home mode it allows you just enough to get to a repair shop. You should not be driving the vehicle if this continuing to happen as serious damage can be occuring.
