THE VEHICLE DOES NOT MARK ON THE DASH WHAT GEAR I AM IN AND IT HAS A BUTTON I PUSH FOR SPRING OR WINTER AND ALSO DOES NOT INDICATE ON DASH. HOW CAN I GO ABOUT CHECKING IT AND IS IT SOMETHING I CAN DO MYSELF?

This is a instrument cluster failure and is common with these models. Sometimes this is mearly a coding glitch other times it will require instrument cluster replacement.

This is not something you can check and requires a MB STAR diagnostic machine to read coding values and perform coding for the cluster.
