My Mercedes Benz 420 started shaking terribly hile driving. What could be the problem?

If this is occuring at higher speeds then you may be experiencing a cracked flex disk. These connect your driveshaft to your transmission and differential. When these disks crack they allow the driveshaft to wobble causing shaking in the vehicle.
