Check for vacuum leaks, especially the rubber intake boot from air cleaner to the throttle bore. Also remove the intake boot and clean out the throttle bore around the butterfly

Thanks to all
the problem solved
the rpm was not stable because the ac of my car for "i dont know reason" was sending a rabid on/off signal to the computer which caused him to force the rpm up and down in simutlaneity.

Suggested Repair

The idle fluctuation was traced to the A/C system rapidly switching on and off and signaling the computer to raise and lower rpm. Also check for vacuum leaks at the intake boot and clean the throttle bore around the butterfly.

Conversation Summary

A 1996 Mercedes-Benz E200 had unstable idle, fluctuating between 600 and 800 rpm, with no faults found on a computer scan. An expert advised checking for vacuum leaks, especially the intake boot, and cleaning the throttle bore. The owner later reported the problem was solved: the A/C was sending a rapid on/off signal that made the computer vary engine speed.
