Mercedes car alarm problem

Help --I have a 1990 300E 4 Door and the car alarm is going off when I open the door with my key ( which I believe is a factory key).

I would like to disconnect the alrm and NEVER use it again -without affecting the rest of the car. Any ideas?

HAVE YOU GOT A KEY FOR THE ALARM WHICH IS SITUATED IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT.

Give this a try, as you open the driver door the is a black oval plastic cover (about the size of a quarter). Pry this out with a with your fingers and this is the alarm connector. Pull the connector apart wrap some tape around it so it doen't fall into the door and reinstall it. Give it a try and this should resolve it. What's wrong? I would think the switch on the drivers door handle (to replace this you need to get a new door tumbler also).
