When i drive and reach 25-27 mph, a noise starts to creep behind the instrument panel, sounds like something turning, and gets louder as soon as I reach about 60. It sounds so loud like a shrieking buzzer adn then it stops and then quiet....whew! then it dosen't come back but once in a while. Sometimes if I don't drive my Benz for a while...it starts up again???? I want to fix this before something major might break behind the instrument panel.

Suggested Repair

Service or lubricate the speedometer head. If the noise returns, the speedometer may be failing and should be repaired or replaced.
